SHABANIE Mine coach Shabanie Luke Masomere has admitted that he has been contacted by Buffaloes for a job at the Mutare side.

Masomere was reportedly interviewed by Buffaloes last week but on Saturday he exclusively opened up to SuperSport.com that there has only been an inquiry on his services and nothing else.

He however did not rule out a move to the army outfit.

“Something can happen in January. I have not yet signed for Buffaloes but they just phoned me and nothing concrete has come up as yet,” he said.

“Right now I am a Shabanie Mine coach and my contract with them expires at the end of this month. I am just waiting for it to expire then I will see what can happen then after. Maybe I will join Buffaloes, maybe I will not. All will be clear early January.”

The championship-winning coach stated towards the end of last season that he was quitting Shabanie Mine at the end of the season due to unfavourable working conditions.

At one time during that time, he had a nasty fall-out with team, manager Sam Gondwe with the latter nearly assaulting him.

Masomere was first inked with Buffaloes in July but Shabanie moved in quickly to offer him a new deal.
