DELTA Beverages has concluded another three year sponsorship deal with the Premier Soccer League.

According to a statement from Delta Beverages Marketing Manager Patricia Murambinda, the brewery giant will bankroll the Premier Soccer League for the next three years after the two parties sealed a sponsorship deal this week.

Murambinda could however, not divulge the total sponsorship package only saying details would be confirmed before the season kicks off.

The Premier Soccer League is expected to resume at the end of this month.

"Negotiations are done now and the deal has been concluded. We have signed a three year sponsorship deal and excited about this. Full details of the sponsorship package will be availed at a press conference before the season kicks off," said Murambinda.

The PSL has been in negotiations with Delta Beverages since the end of last term over another sponsorship package following the expiry of their three year sponsorship deal last year.

In the 2011 season, Delta Beverages renewed their sponsorship with local football and signed a three year sponsorship deal with the league to the tune of US$600,000.

According to the deal, the winners were to pocket $70,000, the runners up $50,000 and the team finishing third $30,000. The deal expired at the end of last season.

The marriage between PSL and Delta Beverages dates back to 1962 when the first Castle Cup final was played.

However, Delta Beverages pulled out in 2003 and that saw Econet Wireless entering the scene in 2004 as PSL sponsors.

Econet also bankrolled the Buddie Charity Shield and Buddie Challenge in a five-year deal that lasted just a season.
