Zvasiya's future still uncertain

A DECISION on Lincoln Zvasiya's future with Kaizer Chiefs will be made soon by the club, the club's spokesperson Vina Maphosa confirmed this week.

Chiefs finished the 2013/2014 season empty handed after failing to defend the Nedbank Cup and the Absa Premiership title.

The Soweto giants technical team and management will soon meet and map the way forward.

"Well, we have not decided who to sell or keep at the moment. All that will be done in a week or two, and everything will be clear by then," Maphosa told Goal

However the Zimbabwe international defender was loaned out to Greece Superleague side OFI Crete in July last year, after a two year spell with AmaKhosi.

"But, yes, Zvasiya is still contracted to us. He was loaned out to a Greek team, and the deal with the team expired in December last year," he said.

Since returning from Greece in December, the 23-year old has been club-less, as he could not find a club to play for, despite being linked with Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League sides Dynamos and Highlanders.

"Zvasiya is currently in Zimbabwe, and his contract with us will expire in June. A decision on his future with us will be taken soon," he concluded.
