WARRIORS midfielder Ali Sadiki has joined Congolese giants TP Mazembe from FC Platinum on a three-year contract.

Sadiki impressed during a two-week trial and negotiations between TP Mazembe and FC Platinum were opened last week.

He becomes the fourth Zimbabwean to play for the Lumbumbashi side after Darrel Nyandoro, Mthulisi Maphosa, Chris Samakweri and Daniel Zokoto.

FC Platinum spokesperson Chido Chizondo confirmed Sadiki’s move.

“Ali has joined TP Mazembe but at the moment we cannot divulge the money involved in the deal. We thank him for diligently serving us and wish him success in his career,” Chizondo said.

Sadiki said he is up for the TP Mazembe challenge.

“I am happy to join such a big club associated with success. I am looking forward to the challenge and I am ready for it and I will do my best in the team,” Sadiki said.

“I would love to thank FC Platinum for giving me a home for the past seasons. They took care of me and I will never forget them. I hope to go back there to wind up my career,” he added.

Sadiki was part of the Warriors group which reached the Chan semi-finals earlier this year.
