ON LOAN winger to Highlanders Kuda Mahachi could be facing a lengthy period on the side-lines following a shin injury in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Triangle.

The 20-year-old, on loan from South African giants Mamemlodi Sundowns, fell victim to a Charles Rukwanhi crude tackle towards the end of the match.

Rukwanhi was duly shown a red card by referee Munyaradzi Majoni.

At final whistle, Mahachi was in tears and struggling to walk hinting on the gravity of the injury.

“It looks very bad because he is having difficulties in walking. He is actually limping,” Highlanders coach Kelvin Kaindu said.

“Right now I am not sure about his condition because he is about to see the doctor where he has gone.

“We will only know the seriousness when he is back from the doctor.”

Mahachi who was signed by Sundowns in January is set to soon leave Highlanders and team up with his new teammates.
