Mamelodi Sundowns to tour Zimbabwe

MAMELODI Sundowns winger Kuda Mahachi boosted his chances of winning a contract with French League1 giants Monaco after he scored and provided an assist in Saturday’s 12-0 friendly match demolition of Austrian armature side FC St Veit.

While it is not yet clear if Monaco’s new Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim will take him to the US for the Copa EuroAmericana after the St Veit match closed their Austria training camp.

But Mahachi’s 38th minute left curler which was the fifth goal of the match could leave Jardim seriously considering signing him.

Wearing shirt number 35, Mahachi also fed Brazilian defender Fabinho with a fine pass for the 12th goal with as many minutes remaining.

He was also involved in the build-up of former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov’s second goal of his hat-trick.

Mahachi lasted the entire match as Monaco scored six goals in either half and ended the match with a dominant 78 percent ball possession.

The 20-year-old also scored in France during a Monaco practice match before the Austria trip.

If Monaco decides to sign him, Mamelodi Sundowns will benefit from the sale without him kicking the ball for them.
