DYNAMOS have swooped for the Bantu Rovers pair of goalkeeper Washington Arubi and defender Khumbulani Banda in their bid to strengthen their squad for the 2010 Africa Champions League.
Arubi, Banda and Hwange midfielder Farai Vimisayi were in the Dynamos line up on Sunday when they lost 3-0 to CAPS United in the final of the African Safari Challenge at Rufaro.
Lengthens, Caps United, Gunners and Dynamos played in the four-team tournament over the weekend to raise funds towards their participation in the African Confederations Cup and the African Champions League.
Rovers secretary Wilbert Sibanda confirmed on Saturday that the two players have joined Dynamos on loan, but would not disclose the financial package.
Arubi joined Rovers from Highlanders at the beginning of last season on the promise that the Bulawayo side will help him secure an overseas deal. He went to Finland and later Belgium without success.
The move to Dynamos could be part of a plan by Rovers to market the player on the international stage.
Dynamos are still hoping to tie up deals with Hwange over Farai Vimisayi. The diminutive player arrived in Harare last week to sort out personal terms with the club, although Hwange secretary Burzil Dube denies that a deal has been secured.
"Nothing has been concluded with Dynamos, they are one of the many clubs that have interest in the player as well as Highlanders," Dube said.
Vimisayi claims his contract with the coalminers expires in June, meaning he could walk out for free, but Hwange deny this.
Dynamos are still keen to sign the Highlanders pair of Zephaniah Ngodzo and midfielder Stephen Alimenda, although the Bulawayo giants, struggling for finances, have refused a US$20,000 offer for a season's loan for Ngodzo.
