ZPC KARIBA veteran striker Limited Chikafa says they are not under pressure ahead of Saturday’s do or die encounter against Dynamos at the National Sports Stadium.

Dynamos lead the standings with 54 points and if they win, they will clinch the league title for the fourth consecutive year, something which Chikafa believes gives them pressure.

“They (Dynamos) are the ones with pressure because they are chasing a lot of things and four titles in a row. They are playing in front of their own fans who will out-number our supporters.

“We are not feeling any pressure. It’s just a normal game for us against a team that we have beaten before. Maybe the pressure on us is that we want to beat them again for the second time this season.

“We have been playing away from Kariba the whole of this year so we are at home wherever we play,” the former Railstars and Caps United stars said on Thursday.

ZPC are second on 53 points and if they win, they will be left with Caps United to deal with next week to win the title in their maiden season.

ZPC team manager Patson Ndabambi echoed Chikafa’s sentiments saying they don’t fear Dynamos.

“To say we have a problem against Dynamos would be to lie. There is nothing like that at all. We beat them last time and it was no fluke because we know how they play and we are ready for them,” Ndabambi said.

Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa saw his chief striker Washington Pakamisa limp out of training on Thursday, but is hopeful that he will have a full team for Saturday’s match.

After Thursday’s training session at the NSS, Pasuwa sounded cautious.

“When we played Bantu Rovers, everybody thought we were going to collect maximum points, so we have to play first and see what happens. The better team on the day will win. We are ready for them,” Pasuwa said.

In addition, Devon Chafa is limping and is unlikely to pass a late fitness test.

Goalkeeper Artwell Mukandi, dropped for the 0-0 draw against Bantu Rovers, is troubled by a hip injury sustained last month.

But veteran skipper Murape Murape said they cannot afford to lose the match.

“It’s one of those games we don’t want to lose. It’s a big match and we know that if we win, we will win the league title. We don’t want to leave things until the last game against How Mine.

“We have been having problems with small teams as you saw against Chapungu and Bantu Rovers, so we need to win this one,” the battle hardened veteran said.
