ZIMBABWE'S Warriors enhanced their chances of a quarter final place in the COSAFA Castle Cup tournament following a hard fought 1-0 victory over Seychelles at Moruleng Stadium on Tuesday.

Harare City's Talent Chawapiwa decided the contest with the only goal of the match on 53 minutes as the Warriors took control of Group A, having beaten Mauritius 2-0 in the opening match of the tournament.

The Warriors were worthy winners, having dominated the match in terms of possession and chances, and only the heroics of Seychelles goalie Jose Euphrasie kept the score from getting embarrassing.

However, there was nothing he could do early in the second half when Chawaphiwa let rip from 35 yards out and gave the goalie no chance.

Zimbabwe keeper, George Chigova, was hardly tested and only got called into action twice as Saul Chaminuka's side cruised to victory.
