LEADERS Chicken Inn will be missing five key players due to national team duty and injuries when they visit Caps United at the National Sports Stadium for Sunday’s league match.

Captain Danny Phiri, top marksman Edmore Chirambadare and defender Lawrence Mhlanga are all with the national team for Saturday’s Chan qualifier in Comoros.

Devine Lunga and George Majika are nursing injuries, leaving coach Joey Antipas with a severely depleted squad.

“I believe the available players will raise their hands to be counted. We have 25 players to select from so to me I will not cry much though,” Antipas said.

“Obviously we will miss them because they are important members of the team but we can do well under such circumstances.

“We are going to face a strong team and we also need to be strong. This calls for us to up our gear than usual. We hope things we come out well for us.”

The Bulawayo side would be out to preserve their two-point lead at the top.

Saturday Results:  ZPC Kariba 0-1 Tsholotsho FC (Nyamhunga), Flame Lily 0-0 Harare City (Lafarge), Chapungu 0-0 FC Platinum (Ascot)

Sunday Fixtures: Caps United v Chicken Inn (National Sports Stadium), Dongo Sawmill v Whawha (Vhengere Stadium), Hwange v Dynamos (Colliery Stadium), Highlanders FC v Triangle United (Barbourfields Stadium), Buffaloes v How Mine (Sakubva Stadium)
