TSHOLOTSHO will be aiming to complete a double over ZPC Kariba when the two sides meet in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at White City Stadium on Friday.

Tsholotsho stunned ZPC 1-0 in their own backyard last Sunday, leaving coach Sunday Chidzambwa winless after two matches since he took over a month ago.

In his first outing, Chidzambwa was humbled 1-0 by Triangle at Gibbo and was looking for a sweet return to Nyamhunga only to be stunned by veteran striker Joel Luphahla’s solitary strike.

Ironically, Chidzambwa is the same coach who gave Luphahla, 38, his debut for the Warriors in 2003 and scored against Algeria in a 1-1 draw at Rufaro before scoring again in Zimbabwe’s only win in Tunisia in their Africa Cup of Nations debut in 2004.

Only two points separate Tsholotsho and ZPC with the newboys in 13th spot with 14 points after three wins, five draws and seven losses from their opening 15 matches.

ZPC are in 10th place with 15 points and have also won three, drawn six and lost six times after an indifferent start that saw them fire coach Saul Chaminuka.

Tsholotsho coach, Lizwe Sweswe, said they will approach the match like any other.

“The match is not different from all the games we have played so far this season and will want to maintain that same approach of all going all out for a win.

“We are not in a good position on the log and we need to pick up points especially from home games and I hope the guys will respond positively,” Sweswe said.

Besides Luphahla, Tsholotsho have brought in Danisa Phiri and Siza Khoza, all former Highlanders players to try and stabilise the team and help them out of the relegation zone.
