THE Premier Soccer League resumes this weekend with some mouth-watering fixtures lined up after a one-week break for the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Zimbabwe and Guinea.

Inform FC Platinum host defending champions Dynamos at Mandava Stadium on Saturday in what could be an explosive encounter.

After a sluggish start to the campaign, Norman Mapeza - the Castle Lager Coach of the Month for June/July - has posted five victories in six matches in the second half overcoming Chapungu and Hwange by an identical 2-0 scoreline at Mandava.

He then went on to beat Buffaloes 3-0 at Sakubva, and also claimed the scalp of Highlanders in a 2-1 victory at BF and then defeated Triangle 1-0 at Gibbo in the previous match.

DeMbare are in second place on the league table with 39 points from 21 matches - four behind leaders Chicken Inn with FC Platinum trailing Dynamos on 38 points.

Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya is also yet to lose a league match since taking over from David ‘Yogi’ Mandigora.

Ndiraya defeated ZPC Kariba 2-1 at Rufaro, Triangle 2-0 at Gibbo, earned a 1-1 draw away to Tsholotsho at BF and then overcame How Mine 1-0 in the last outing at Rufaro just before the break.

In other matches, leaders Chicken Inn host struggling ZPC Kariba at Luveve Stadium also on Saturday.

Triangle, on fourth spot with 36 points, will be pushing to collect maximum points, when they visit Ascot for a date with Wha Wha on Sunday.

Highlanders, with new coach Amin Soma-Phiri after the sacking of Bongani Mafu, travel to the capital on Saturday for date with Harare City.

Caps United also with new coach Lloyd Chitembwe in charge host army side Buffaloes at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Relegation threatened Flame Lily, host Hwange at Lafarge Stadium on Saturday hoping to garner maximum points as they battle for survival while fellow strugglers Dongo Sawmilll host Chapungu at Vengere Stadium.
