HARARE City coach Taurai Mangwiro will take a cautious approach when his side host Highlanders in a league match at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.

The Bulawayo side arrive in Harare with a new technical staff headed by Cosmas Zulu following the sacking of Bongani Mafu last week.

But Mangwiro feels events taking place at the Bulawayo Giants should not be regarded as a crisis but team strengthening developments.

“Who knows? Highlanders could be a far much better team now because of the new coaches at the club,” Mangwiro said.

“We will not take them lightly. Actually they were never bad under the previous coach. They were playing very well but were just unfortunate that positive results were not coming their way.

“Now with new men, they can be even more dangerous. They have the potential to upset us to we have to move a gear up in terms of toughening ourselves against them.

“We hope for a good game from which we can get a positive result.”

With realistic chances of claiming the league title having vanished, Mangwiro is also pressed to ensure a respectable finish to the term.

Mafu left City’s opponents near the relegation zone with the potential of ending the season desperately fighting for survival.

But Zulu and his men who include Amini Soma-Phiri have been tasked with ensuring a top-four finish.
