HIGHLANDERS vice-chairman Mgcini Mpofu has welcomed the NetOne Easycall semifinals draw, saying they had always wished to meet arch-rivals Dynamos.

The Bulawayo giants resume their rivalry with Dynamos in the semifinals slated for Barbourfields Stadium in the weekend of 5-6 December.

Newly-crowned PSL champions Chicken Inn and Caps United square off in another semifinal match at the same venue in the same weekend.

But the biggest draw card of the NetOne Easycall semifinals appear to be between Highlanders and Dynamos who clash in another Battle of Zimbabwe which is set to spice the tail of the 2015 Zimbabwean football season.

With Dynamos having dominated Highlanders in recent seasons, Mpofu said this Cup presents them with an opportunity to inflict revenge on their traditional foes.

“This Cup does not only enhance our chances of to redeem ourselves as Highlanders but also to boost our coffers ahead of the festive season.

"This is what we had always wished for to get rid of Dynamos so that when we get into the final we are done and dusted with them. To us it is a fair draw and we welcome them to Barbourfields Stadium,” Mpofu said.

“Highlanders dismissed highly-fancied FC Platinum in the quarter-finals to book a last four berth.
