CHICKEN Inn will participate in the 2016 Caf Champions League after all.

The deadline for registration with the continental mother body was Monday and the squad registration is December 15.

After initially indicating they will focus their energy on retaining the league title next season and infrastructural investment, the club’s owners Innscor Africa want to reward the team for a sterling performance in capturing the 2015 Castle Lager Premiership.

They finished the season with a massive 61 points after beating Flame Lily 2-1 on Saturday at Larfarge and on Monday also provided four of the 11 best players of the season to the Soccer Star of the Year calendar.

Club secretary Tawengwa Hara said Monday: “We are participating.”

Harare City will represent Zimbabwe in the Caf Confederation Cup next year after winning the 2015 Chibuku Super Cup.

This year the country had only one representative in FC Platinum in the Confederation Cup after 2014 champions Dynamos opted out due to financial problems.
