FORMER champions Dynamos are set for a bruising battle with Harare City over the clearance of rightback Blessing Moyo with DeMbare saying they should be paid a development fee for the player before issuing a clearance.

Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa said they would only issue Moyo a clearance upon payment of a development fee.

This follows Dynamos' failure to tie down star midfielder Ronald Chitiyo to a contract after his deal expired on December 1.

Chitiyo decided to join Harare City who reportedly offered him the world to join them compared to Dynamos who were offering fame.

This angered the Dynamos leadership which had also been beaten to the signature of highly rated ZPC Kariba attacking midfielder Raphael Manuvire by Harare City.

Another failure to tie down Moyo to a contract has left the DeMbare hierachy fuming. Now they have threatened not to issue Moyo a clearance to Harare City until payment of a development.

"Obviously we want a development fee for us to clear him because we developed the player. They have to pay that but we were also not happy with the conduct of the player because he didn't inform us that he was going to join Harare City.

"We have been negotiating a new contract with him," said Mubaiwa without revealing the development fee they want.

Harare City secretary Mathew Marara could not be reached for comment on Wednesday.

Moyo is a product of Dembare junior development project and joined Harare City on a one year contract.
