Belgium-based Musona on target again, scores his 10th goal for KV Oostende

Top scoring form ... Knowledge Musona

ZIMBABWE international striker Knowledge Musona was on target again in KV Oostende's 3-3 draw against Mouscron Peruwelz, his 10th goal of the campaign in which he is among the leading goal scorers.

The race for the top marksman though remains devilishly tight as he remains one goal shy of the leading goal scorers including his team mate Gohi Cyriac after 22 matches of the campaign.

He scored the second goal on 54 minutes profiting from a set up by Fernando Canesin after Cyriac had thrust them ahead in three minutes of added time in the first half.

Then Belgian Jordan Lukaku ensured a share of the spoils with a third goal on 82 minutes.

The result left KV Oostende still in fourth position on the league table with 40 points, 12 points behind leaders Gent after 24 games.

Musona's form comes as sweet news to Warriors coach Kalisto Pasuwa as he prepares to resume the 2017 African Nations Championship campaign following a disappointing 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda where the Warriors bombed at the group stage.

Warriors came out with only a point to show after two defeats against Zambia and Mali which left them bottom of the group following a 1-1 draw with Uganda in a match that was only of academic interest.

Zimbabwe share top spot in Group L with Swaziland on four points in the race for the 2017 African Cup of Nations finals after defeating Malawi 2-1 in the first match before settling for a 1-1 draw at home against Guinea.

Zimbabwe make the trip to Swaziland in March before a return match in Harare two weeks later.
