MOTOR Action can stretch their lead at the top of the Premier Soccer League on Sunday when they host Gunners at the Motor Action Sports Club.

The Mighty Bulls could begin the next week four points clear of Dynamos -- who play a cup tie at Rufaro on the same day -- if they can beat the defending league champions.

Joey Antipas’ men inflicted Dynamos’ first defeat of the season last week and will be seeking to restate their title credentials against Gunners who are already 10 points adrift and sixth in the league, although they have played two games less.

The Motor Action-Gunners clash is one of only two PSL matches this weekend – the other pitting stuttering Highlanders and Eagles at Gwanzura.

Highlanders have won a single point on the road out of a possible 12, and they are up against an Eagles side that beat them 1-0 home and away last season.

Eighth on the league table with just 13 points from nine games, Highlanders desperately need to breathe life to their faltering campaign.

Eagles defender Webster Chingodza, speaking ahead of the match, said: "We won both our games against Highlanders and want to do the same again this year.

“We’re certainly not short on confidence. Last year we earned the nickname of ‘giant killers’ after beating Dynamos, CAPS United, Highlanders and Monomotapa, who were the champions then.”

Dynamos face Hwange at Rufaro in the BancABC Sup8r quarter finals before returning to the same venue on Tuesday for league action against Kiglon.
