Dynamos 0-0 Kiglon

DYNAMOS coach Elvis Chiweshe was booed by the fans following his team's lifeless 0-0 draw against Kiglon in a Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro on Tuesday.

Angry Dynamos fans shouted obscenities at the coach at the end of the match. The fans gathered outside the stadium as they bayed for Chiweshe's blood.

Police had to unleash dogs on rowdy fans who said Chiweshe had failed to deliver.

But Dynamos chairman Farai Munetsi told reporters there would be no immediate changes to the team's technical department.

"There is no way we can change the technical team now,” he said. “Of course the team is not playing well at the moment but this habit of changing coaches every time is not good for the team. This happens in football.

“We have an important game this weekend it is important for us to support the coach.”

Dynamos lost their last two African Champions League matches against TP Mazembe and Esperance of Tunisia. They also suffered their first league defeat to title rivals Motor Action, although they recovered somewhat on Sunday to beat Hwange 1-0 and move into the semi-finals of the BancABC Sup8r Cup where they face bitter rivals Highlanders.

But Chiweshe’s men, seeking a win to go top of the league, put on a disjointed show as they were outclassed by Lloyd Mutasa's team who dominated the match for long periods and could have easily won had they not wasted the chances that came their way.

Dynamos now have 25 points, a point less than leaders Motor Action although with the advantage of a game in hand.
