TONDERAYI Ndiraya’s strong influence as Ngezi Platinum coach, has been recognised after the PSL on Friday announced him as the July Coach of the Month.

The former Dynamos coach joined Ngezi Platinum in June, replacing Clifton Kadurira when the club’s fortunes were on the wane.

Impressively, Ndiraya has not lost a game in charge of Ngezi Platinum, going for eight games without tasting defeat.

That eight match-match unbeaten streak includes five wins and three draws, lifting Ngezi Platinum to sixth position on the log with 12 points off leaders FC Platinum.

After drawing 0-0 with ZPC Kariba last weekend, they now host How Mine on Saturday seeking to bounce back to winning ways.

Having beaten How Mine 2-1 away, Ngezi Platinum are fancying victory chances and extending their unbeaten run.

“I am not looking at my individual recognition because as a team we always want to do well in every game we play. We might win or lose, it is okay for us,” Ndiraya said.

“What we always strive for is avoiding defeat at all cost. We have to gain at least a point in each game although more ideal would be a win. But we do not look down upon any team. Every game we play is hard for us. It is not easy at all and that is why we put that extra effort. Our next game against How Mine is one we are looking forward to do well.”

How Mine on the other hand have been blowing hot and cold after starting the season well.
