CAPS United maintained their lead at the top of the table after edging Harare City 1-0 while title challengers Highlanders dropped points in a shock 2-1 defeat to Tsholotsho at Barboufields Stadium.

The stumble by Highlanders saw FC Platinum taking advantage to claim second place with a 2-0 victory over Chapungu at Ascot.

Caps United scored the only goal of the match through veteran striker Leonard Tsipa who headed home a cross from Ronald Pfumbidzai to take their points tally to 57 two behind FC Platinum while Highlanders are now in third place with 53 points with only two matches left in the campaign.
