FORMER PSL champions Chicken Inn started the new season on a high note, when they defeated Bantu Rovers, who have just returned from the First Division.

The Bulawayo based side, beat Bantu Rovers 2-0 and coach Rahman Gumbo believes they are on the right track, to fight for the league title against this season.

Gumbo said that after playing in the Caf Champions League the season before, they gained experience which will help them in the local league this season.

“I think we have started very well. There is no small team or small game. We have to fight to make sure we win as many games as we can. We have a good squad, which is ready to play against any team that we will be facing this season.

"I am happy with our fitness levels and if we continue, the way we did against Bantu Rovers, then we have a great future this season. We know it won’t be an easy season but, we are ready to go all the way,” Gumbo concluded.
