FRIDAY Fight Night returns to Harare where Zimbabwean Elvis Moyo will defend his WBF African Heavyweight belt against Knife Didier from the Democratic Republic Congo on January 26.

Kwesé Sports in association with Kalakoda Promotions put together a bill which features Zimbabwean bantamweight star Tapia Tembo in the co-main event; and four non-title bouts between rising stars from Malawi, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Local Favorite Moyo headlines the bill against the heavy handed Didier.

"These are the African Heavyweight match ups people want to see," said Moyo. "I had no time off over Christmas and New Year, I've been in the gym and I guarantee victory by KO.

"I'm going to entertain my home fans. Fighting at home is very special, I cannot wait to just get in there and throw some leather," he said.

The event will be broadcast live on Kwese Sports, KS and streamed on Facebook Live.

"We see high profile live events as an essential means to activate our brand and drive customer engagement, boxing events with the inclusion of music and live performances provide a multi-sensory activation platform.

"We are extremely excited about bringing the big fights to Zimbabwe and providing the stage for our athletes to shine," said Dorothy Zimuto from Kwesé TV Zimbabwe.
