Hwange 0-0 Dynamos

HIGH flying Hwange threw themselves into the championship race after a brave 0-0 draw against title chasers Dynamos in a league match at the Colliery in Hwange on Sunday.

Hwange now have 44 points from 27 matches eight points adrift of leaders FC Platinum and five of second placed Dynamos with only a point separating them with third placed Motor Action who were also held to 0-0 draw against Shooting Stars at Callies.

With only three matches left before end of the campaign, Tenant Chilumba's men who have not lost a single match in the past six games so far can now fancy their chances of a championship dream.

Dynamos were missing the services of the Premiership leading goal scorer Rodrick Mutuma who was suspended for picking up three yellow cards.

The Harare giants under the guidance of Callisto Pasuwa have struggled for points on the road in their matches this season.

They now have a mammoth task of having to win all their remaining three matches to win the league and hope that FC Platinum slip up in two of their three matches remaining.

In other matches, CAPS United walloped Blue Ribbon 4-1 at the National Sports while Monomotapa condemned Kiglon further to the drop zone following a 1-0 win over the Chitungwiza based outfit at Gwanzura with Joseph Mutambiranwa scoring the priceless goal for the former league champions.
