DYNAMOS are struggling to raise a squad for the 2013 Champions League and face hefty fines by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for late registration of players after the a Saturday deadline elapsed.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions have nine players in their proposed wish list with whom they are still negotiating.

They will also have to pay $500 for each player for late registration until December 31.

The new names in Dynamos’ catalogue include Monomotapa goalkeeper Artwell Mukandi and his teammate Russel Madamombe, the Hwange pair of Francesco Zvikumbawire and Aaron Katebe, Morris Kadzola, Sydney Linyama, Ugandan youth international Boban Ziruntusa and veteran Stephen Alimenda.

The team has already lost 2012 Footballer of the Year Denver Mukamba, who is headed for BidVest Wits in South Africa.

Partson Jaure is also scheduled for trials in Turkey while South African clubs are sniffing around for Simba Sithole.

Coach Kalisto Pasuwa is however, refusing to be drawn into panic mode.

“I will have the best players for the Champions League. It happens all the time, but we have always managed to assemble a strong team,” he said.

Secretary-general Ray Kazembe is crying sabotage; he believes that clubs are deliberately refusing to release players.

“Yes we know there are issues of money always, but we always pay. We are working flat out to deal with the issue of contracts and I’m sure we will be done by end of week.”

Dynamos’ provisional 25-men CAF Champions League squad
