THE Warriors held Swaziland’s Sihlangu to a 1-1 draw in Friday’s African Cup of Nations qualifier in Mbabane on Saturday.
The game played at the Somhlolo National Stadium saw the hosts opening the scoring as early as the second minute courtesy of a Felix Badenhorst volley.
But the Zimbabweans who grew into the game drew level three minutes before half time.
Swaziland face the same opponents in the second leg in Harare on Monday ahead of the next African football spectacular that will be staged in Gabon next year.
The Swazi coach Harries Bulunga has vowed to inspire his charges to a better results in the return leg in Harare on Monday.
His Zimbabwean counterpart, Callisto Paluwa also said that victory for his team was the only result he was ready to contemplate.
Before Friday’s game, Swaziland had been perched at the top of Group L of the qualifiers with four points from the opening two games.
