Another blow for Bosso as Ncube leaves

HIGHLANDERS have suffered another blow with star striker Njabulo Ncube joining FC Platinum on a year’s deal.
Ncube’s contract expired on December 31 and had he been expected to renew the deal.
But with age fast catching up with him at 32, he decided to take on Platinum’s season long deal reportedly worth $12,000, according to sources.
“Yes I can confirm I have joined FC Platinum. I signed yesterday,” said Ncube.  “I wish Highlanders well and I am looking forward to new challenges at FC Platinum.”
This is the second player that has left Highlanders in the last three days with Masimba Mambare having moved to Dynamos.
Coach Kelvin Kaindu, still in Zambia, completing his Caf C Licence course, seems to be on a rebuilding mission having already signed Welcome Ndiweni, Valentine Ndaba and Khumbulani Banda.
Joel Ngodzo is also expected to make a return to Bosso alongside Charles Sibanda while Hwange’s Eric Chipeta has also been linked with a move to the Bulawayo giants.
Should they manage to get these players, then the absence of Mambare will not be felt.
With Banda in the team, regular left back Bruce Kangwa will now operate from the left attacking midfield, threatening Bheki Ncube’s position.
Milton Ncube also operates from the left side, but can be converted into a striker to give experience to young Gabriel Nyoni and Cleopas ‘Balotelli’ Dube.
Njabulo Ncube joins an array of talent at Platinum, who have signed Tarisai Rukanda from Shabanie Mine and hard running hitman Steven Sibanda-12 goals last season.
In addition, the Zvishavane side has Donald Ngoma and Nelson Maziwisa, both in the Warriors team in South Africa.
Platinum have moved to Kariba for their pre-season camp and Njabulo is expected to join them on Saturday. Advertisement
