FORMER Barclays Plc chief executive Bob Diamond’s Atlas Mara is on the verge of completing its takeover of pan-African banking group ABC Holdings (ABCH) following a $38 million special bargain on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange on Friday.
The trade of 46,4 million shares at 82 cents, mopped up nearly 65 percent of ABCH’s Zimbabwe register.
On March 31, Atlas Mara announced an agreement to purchase 50,1 percent of the ABCH in a $265 million transaction.
Meanwhile, the equities market closed the week 0,68 percent up at 198,04 points, buoyed by gains in Delta, Econet, Old Mutual, DZLH and SeedCo.
The resources index was unchanged at 101,78 points.Advertisement
