Big Brother star Munya Chidzonga join SA soap Generations

Zimbabwean actor and film producer Munyaradzi Chidzonga is joining popular South African soap, Generations: The Legacy, it has emerged.

This will be the second time the former Big Brother star is featuring in TV dramas after appearing in e.TV favourites Mzansi Love and Rhythm City back in 2014.

Chidzonga confirmed his new role to fans on Facebook, saying;

“Another day in the office; 4am call time. New role on Generations: The Legacy loading… Catch Detective Chakunda next month. Dates to be advised.”

He will join Zimbabwean born actress Chiedza Mhende known for the male role Wandile Radebe who debut on the soap in 2015.

Chidzonga rose to fame back in 2010 when he represented Zimbabwe on the Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality television show.

He escaped elimination a record 9 times and won the hearts of millions across African, managing to finish second after Nigerian actor Uki.

After his star BBA performance, Munya embarked on a film and produced the well-received movie Lobola.  

This was later followed by the Gentleman which featured flamboyant businessman Phillip Chiyangwa.
