BLACK Rhinos were relegated from the Castle Premiership on Sunday, in agonising fashion, losing out to Chapungu on goal difference despite beating Bantu Rovers 2-1 at Rimuka.
Both Rhinos and Chapungu had 37 points, but the army side only scored 21 goals while their counterparts from the Airforce of Zimbabwe netted 30 times.
Chapungu lost 2-0 to Highlanders at Hartsfield with the former champions netting through King Nadolo and Godfrey Makaruse.
Also going to Division One was Shabanie Mine who lost 2-1 to Triangle at Gibbo Stadium as the home side survived on the last day of the season.
However Triangle, winners of the One Wallet Cup will not be able to defend their trophy next season as they finished in ninth spot with the competition reserved for the top eight only.
Buffaloes were also hanging by a thread going into the last match of the season as they had only 36 points and needed a win against Hwange to secure their status.
They did just that, winning 2-1 to finish on 39 with the much needed winner arriving eight minutes from time from Jacob Muzokomba. Lloyd Katongomara had equalised after Hwange had taken the league after just eight minutes through Tafara Chese.
Elsewhere, Harare City also made sure they stayed in the top flight after a hard fought 1-0 over Chicken Inn at Rufaro.
At Mandava, FC Platinum thumped already relegated Chiredzi 3-0 to finish fourth and qualify for the Mbada Diamonds Cup.
Platinum finished on 51 points, two less that Caps United in second and six behind champions Dynamos.
