Highlanders suffered a 1-0 defeat to Bulawayo Chiefs in a Castle Larger Premiership match on Sunday to fall further behind in the championship race.
Bosso finished the match with ten men after goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda was red carded for handling outside the box.
Bulawayo Chiefs have developed a knack of beating the so called big teams and the result on Sunday means all the top three sides are victims as FC Platinum and Ngezi Platinum were also beaten.
Dynamos was the only big side that managed to beat Bulawayo Chiefs while Caps managed a 2-2 draw.
This means Highlanders remain in third place with 29 points while log leaders FC Platinum who defeated Ngezi Platinum are on 41 points.
Ngezi are second with 38 points.
Madinda Ndlovu’s side desperately needed three points to narrow the gap as they entertained hopes of clinching their first title in more than a decade.
However, with Sunday’s defeat at Babourfields Stadium it means the race is now almost just between Ngezi and FC Platinum.
Norman Mapeza’s FC Platinum are hoping for a second successive title.
