HIGHLANDERS coach Elroy Akbay is looking for a strategy to neutralise Chapungu’s physical game when they host the airman in a league match at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.
Highlanders are keen to storm into the top four and that is achievable if they at least draw with Chapungu.
But they face a Chapungu side which usually thrive on superior physical game. Akbay is aware of Chapungu’s resilience but he said they will tame the Gweru side with sound strategy.
“I know Chapungu are a military side so they are very physical. We just have to find a strategy to counter that so that they will not be better than us,” Akbay said.
“That was we can collect maximum points and we have to do that. We are working hard to ensure that we win. We have been working on areas we lack as proven by the games we have played so far. We need more goals. Goals win matches so the strikers have to improve on that.”
Highlanders might be at home but they have already lost at Barbourfields Stadium this season when they were beaten 2-1 by FC Platinum.
