SOUTH Africa: KickOff.com can reveal that Cape Town City have completed the signing of Zimbabwe international goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva.
This publication revealed yesterday that Mukuruva was on his way to South Africa to join a PSL side after opting against penning an extension with Dynamos in his homeland.
And, according to a source close to the Citizens, the Warriors goalkeeper has since completed a three-year deal with the John Comitis-owned Mother City outfit.
“Mukuruva is now our player. He signed with City yesterday,” the source tells KickOff.com.
Mukuruva’s agent Les Mohami also confirmed that his client has signed with a PSL side, although he would not yet divulge the club’s identity.
“Yes, it’s true Mukuruva has signed with a PSL team. It will be fair and due respect to the club to make their own announcement,” said Mohami.
Mukuruva put in some impressive performances at the recently concluded 2017 African Nations Cup in Gabon, where Cape Town City’s scouts were alerted to his talents, although he was unable to help Zimbabwe past the group stages.Advertisement
