SOUTH Africa: Cape Town City have extended goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva’s stay at the club by a further two years.
The Zimbabwe international joined City in February on a short-term contract with an option to renew based on performance.
And Mukuruva has convinced the Telkom Knockout champions to keep him on board despite his only appearance for them coming in a shock 1-0 loss to minnows Acornbush United in the Nedbank Cup in March.
Veteran keeper Shu-Aib Walters was Eric Tinkler’s preferred option in goal in 2016/17.
“Yes, it’s true, he has extended his contract,” Mukuruva’s agent Led Mohami tells
“It has been extended for a further two years.”
The Citizens yesterday announced the signing of Bafana Bafana midfielder Ayanda Patosi as they seek to better their third-place finish in the league and impress in the CAF Confederation Cup.Advertisement
