CAPS’ coach in trouble over remarks

CAPS United coach, Taurai Mangwiro has stirred trouble for himself by inviting a PSL charge after complaining about the league’s delay in the release of the 2014 fixtures.
Mangwiro last week urged the PSL to “act professionally” and release fixtures as early as possible to allow coaches to plan accordingly for the new season.
The 2014 season is expected to start next month.
PSL chief executive officer Kenny Ndebele hinted on a possible disciplinary action against the Makepekepe mentor for alleged bringing the game of football into disrepute.
“We have not delayed releasing the fixtures and why is it that it is only one coach complaining.
“At this point last year we had not published the fixtures so where is the delay? We feel the coach’s remarks were unnecessary for the picture it painted on our league,” Ndebele said.
Some quarters have however interpreted PSL’s stance as baseless and unwarranted, arguing that Magwiro had raised genuine concerns.Advertisement
