TALENTED Caps United midfielder, Denver Mukamba drove a knife into the hearts of struggling premiership giants Dynamos through a second half strike that condemned his former paymasters to yet another defeat in an exciting Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clash on Sunday.
As the match ended Caps United fans showered Mukamba with cash for destroying his former club.
The situation was different with Dynamos’s rivals Highlanders who trashed visiting Shabanie Mine 3:1.
But the pick of the crop was the Harare derby played at the National Sports Stadium which saw Dynamos fail to register their first win in seven matches played so far to mark their worst ever start to a premiership campaign.
Even more painful to the Dembare faithful was the identity of the scorer, Mukamba who was offloaded by the Harare club at the start of the season for indiscipline.
The former soccer star of the year came in with the solitary goal after 68 minutes before he was stretchered off during the match for pulling a muscle after attempting a shot from range.
From their 7 matches, Dynamos have only managed three draws with the rest being defeats and are second from bottom of the log standings.
Meanwhile, the party continued for the Highlanders faithful who saw their unbeaten young side overturn a one goal deficit to emerge 3:1 victors of Shabanie Mine.
Donald Mukuwe scored after 12 minutes for the visitors but Bosso replied through goals from captain Peter Muduwa, Newman Siachali and Brian Banda to take the country’s oldest premiership side second position on the ladder with 17 points from 7 games.
In Gweru, Chapungu beat premiership newboys Herentals 1-0 with a wonder goal scored straight from a corner kick by Bastos Chihowa after 75 minutes.
ZPC Kariba 1-1 Chicken Inn, Bulawayo City 1-2 Triangle, Harare City 0-0 Black Rhinos, Ngezi Platinum Stars 2-1 Mutare City, Bulawayo Chiefs 2-0 FC Platinum, Yadah Stars 0-2 Nichrut.
