Caps’ Mangwiro focuses on Chicken Inn

CAPS United have turned focus to Sunday’s league clash with Chicken Inn and coach Taurai Mangwiro wants to quickly forget about the last three weeks where they were locked in three derbies against Dynamos.
United drew 1-1 with Dynamos in a league match before losing 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the NetOne One Wallet Cup.
The final derby clash was last weekend’s 2-1 loss to the same opponents in another league match.
They will be at the National Sports Stadium for the fourth successive week on Sunday when they welcome Chicken Inn whom they beat 2-1 away a month ago.
“The Harare derby matches are over and it is time to move on. We now have to focus on Chicken Inn and other matches ahead,” Mangwiro said.
“I have always said that our focus was not just on Dynamos but the league campaign as a whole. It is unfortunate that we failed to collect maximum points against Dynamos but we will make it up in the upcoming matches. We want to do better in the next games.”
Mangwiro’s side are at position four on the log.
They welcome back captain Tapiwa Khumbuyani and David Chipala who missed the last game due to injury.
Stephen Makatuka is back from suspension while utility Dominic is suspended after accumulating three yellow cards.
Sunday: Caps United vs Chicken Inn (NSS, 1500hrs SS), Buffaloes vs Shabanie Mine (Sakubva Stadium), Highlanders vs How Mine (B/F), Black Rhinos vs Dynamos (Rimuka Stadium), Triangle United vs Bantu Rovers (Gibbo Stadium).
