CARA Black and Indian playing partner Sania Mirza are through to the final of the final of Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo where the Zimbabwean will face ex-partner Liezel Huber
Black and Mirza stunned top seeds and Wimbledon champions Chinese Taipei’s Su Wei-Hsieh and China’s Shuai Peng in straight sets to reach the final.
Partnering each other for the very first time in their career, Black and reached the final of their first tournament together by ousting one of the best pairs of the world.
Mirza and Black served 2 aces and only one double in response to their opponents’ two double faults.
They broke their opponents 6 times in the match, on their way to a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
In Saturday’s final, Sania and Black will take on Chinese Taipei and American pair of Hao-Ching Chan and Huber.
Chan and Huber got better of Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia and Anastasia Rodionova of Australia in the other semi-final.
They came from a set down to beat Kudryavtseva and Rodionova 6-7, 6-4, 10-7.Advertisement
