CARA Black and her Indian partner Sania Mirza won the doubles final at the Pacific Open in Tokyo on Saturday.
Partnering each other in a tournament for the first time, Cara and Sania claimed a thrilling final against Liezel Huber and Hao-Ching Chan, winning 4-6, 6-0, 11-9 in 1 hour and 25 minutes.
After losing the first set Cara and her partner made a strong comeback and sealed the second set quite easily. In the third set they saved two match points before finally wrapping up the tie.
Sania and Black fired 4 aces throughout the match and won all the break points they earned. They also saved 5 out of 9 break points that they faced.
The paring now head to Beijing to play their next WTA Premier tournament.Advertisement
