MPILO Central Hospital in Bulawayo has enlisted the services of South African performing artist, entrepreneur, humanitarian and goodwill ambassador, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, to mentor their goodwill ambassador and budding entrepreneur, Sandra Ndebele.
Ndebele, who was born at the hospital, some 32 years ago, was in March inaugurated as the goodwill ambassador for the biggest referral hospital in Matabeleland.
She also serves as the goodwill ambassador for the Zimbabwe Traffic Safety Board.
Addressing delegates at an investor and donor conference at the hospital last Thursday, Mpilo Hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr Lawrence Mantiziba, said Ndebele will be travelling to South Africa to meet up with Yvonne Chaka Chaka.
“I am happy to say that our goodwill ambassador (Sandra Ndebele) will be in South Africa next month being coached by Yvonne Chaka Chaka. Arrangements have been made and Yvonne will meet all the costs for her to go there,” said Dr Mantiziba.
As part of her duties, Ndebele will be responsible for fundraising and advocacy.
Ndebele has already recorded a theme song titled, Mpilo Rise, for her work with the hospital.
