PASTOR Charles and Olivia Charamba and their backing group The Fishers of Men arrived in the United Kingdom Thursday for two weekend shows.
Promoters said the summer gospel gala will kick off Friday in Luton Dunstable followed by a family show on Saturday in Coventry at the Welcome Centre.
Speaking before leaving Zimbabwe, Amai Charamba said the group would perform hit songs from all their albums including Pashoko Pangoma which features hit songs, Nyika YeZimbabwe and Regera Kundisiya.
“What makes the show interesting is that, this is the group’s first show since their last performance in UK in 2007 and we would like to acknowledge and thank Destiny Africa for making this UK Tour possible,” said Amai Charamba.
The Fishers of Men have promised to put up a “memorable performance” and said their UK fans can expect a surprise collaboration between Baba Charamba and Amai Charamba.
Supporting them will be established and seasoned UK gospel groups Obert Mazivisa & The Trumpet Echoes as well as Aaron Manatsa & The New Green Arrows.
“Advance tickets for this UK Summer Gospel Music Gala are already running out and people are being advised to purchase tickets early to avoid being charged more on the gate. Advance tickets are going for £20 with teenagers paying £10 and kids under 10 years attending free,” said the promoters.
