INFORM Chicken Inn still basking in glory over their 3-0 demolition of defending champions Dynamos to maintain their position at the top, host Triangle at Luveve in a top of the table clash on Wednesday.
The Gamecocks made a huge statement of their lofty ambitions after handing Dynamos a 3-0 defeat at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday – DeMbare’s first defeat of the campaign and the heaviest since 2005 when they were walloped 5-0 by Motor Action.
A brace by striker Edmore Chitato and another goal by Mitchell Katsvairo was all Chicken Inn needed to secure maximum points despite being dominated the entire first half.
They now lead the league table with 18 points from seven matches while Triangle are in second place with 16 points from the same number of matches.
But as Joey Antipas readies for one of the toughest encounters against Triangle on Wednesday he remains humble and says it is too early to talk about the championship.
We are taking each game as it comes … Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas
