TONDERAI Ndiraya has been presented with a chance to avenge the defeat to Highlanders after his side Ngezi Platinum were drawn to face the Bulawayo giants in the semi-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup.
Ngezi Platinum suffered a 2-1 defeat at Emagumeni a week ago in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match.
Bosso came from behind to sew up the contest through Eric Mudzingwa who converted from the spot in referee’s optional time to silence the few supporters who had travelled for the match.
The result did not go down well with Ngezi FC Platinum but now they have a chance to avenge that painful defeat.
The semi-finals have been slated for October 22-23 with the final set for November 5.
In another showdown Harare City were drawn against Premier Soccer League leaders FC Platinum. The two sides will do battle this weekend in a Castle Larger Premier Soccer League tie at Rufaro.
Harare City spokesperson, Hope Chizuzu, said the weekend league tie will give them an indication of how they will fare against the Platinum miners.
“It’s an interesting draw. We play an almost similar game against FC Platinum,” he said.
“We are meeting in a league match this weekend and that match will give us a sense of how we will fare against them in the Chibuku Super Cup.
“Our target is to defend the cup and play in Africa again and as defending champions we are aware of the task on our hands.
“We know what it means to play in Africa so we don’t just want to reach the final but to win the cup.”
