ZIMBABWEAN stand-up comedian, Carl Joshua Ncube, is set to take his act to Asia, as part of long term goals to perform in about 37 cities in different parts of the world.
The month long tour, dubbed the “Asia Stand Up Tour” will see him performing in Kuala Lumpur, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore and Myanmar.
The tours have been pencilled for November and December, this year and this will be the first time the rib-cracker performs on that continent.
Ncube continues to break new ground, as he recently had a successful tour of Ivory Coast. He also recently performed at the renowned Comedy Central International comedy festival, sharing the stage with the likes of Trevor Noah.
“Carl has shown time and time again that being from Zimbabwe is certainly not a deterrent to him telling his story around the world. Carl Joshua Ncube was recently described by Comedy Central Africa as one of the funniest comedians to come out of Zimbabwe.
“The comedian has been breaking down barriers for Zimbabwe comedy brining focus on the stand-up comedy industry in Zimbabwe,” his management said in a statement last week.
The tour will kick off on November 14, with a performance at the Crack House Comedy Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He will perform at the same venue on November 18, 19 and December 2.
Other dates and venues will be announced in due course, his management said.
The year already promises to be a busy one for Ncube, who is set to launch his own comedy club in Harare next month.
The comedy club, will be located at the upmarket Rainbow Towers and is set to run on a daily basis. Advertisement
