CARL Joshua Ncube’s drive for success has seen him venturing into uncharted territory and instantly finding the right formula for success.
From graphic designing, marketing, stand-up comedy, design, cooking, and now hotel management, there is nothing stopping the Harare based entrepreneur.
Ncube with his wife Nelsy, who has over 15 years in hotel management, recently took over the management of Cotton County Inn in Kadoma.
In an interview with this publication, Ncube said they will use the skills they have acquired over the years to turn the venture into a successful business entity.
“I have been given a management contract for Cotton Country Inn in Kadoma. The idea is that it brings together my marketing, cooking, design and entertainment in one place,” said Ncube.
The new venture will see the couple relocating to Kadoma, although Ncube believes that it will not be a hindrance to his other business interests in Harare.
Ncube says he wants to use all these platforms to bring the world’s attention to Zimbabwe by promoting local tourism.
“We are trying to put together a turnaround strategy for Kadoma tourism with Cotton Country being pivotal in this transformation,” he said.
Besides hosting cooking shows at the hotel, Ncube wants to turn the place into a premiere entertainment venue hosting local and international comedians and musicians.
The astute businessman has already started promoting his new business venture on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter where he commands a huge following.
For his effort in the stand-up comedy scene, Ncube recently bagged the Arts Personality of the year at the 14th edition of the National Arts Merit Awards.
He also walked away with the Comedian of the year award at the Zimbabwe Business Awards. Advertisement
