WARRIORS striker Cuthbert Malajila could be shipped off to Bidvest Wits in the January transfer window as his side Mamelodi Sundowns look set to bring the Clever Boys’ attacking midfielder, Sibusiso Vilakazi.
Reports from South Africa indicate that Malajila, who has not played for Sundowns in the league since September partly due to a knee injury, is also a favourite of Wits’ coach Gavin Hunt and a deal could be imminent in the next two months.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has preferred new Colombian signing, Leonardo Castro, up front, relegating Malajila to the bench.
He could become the second Zimbabwean to leave cash rich club after former Chicken Inn and Highlanders midfielder, Kuda Mahachi, left for Golden Arrows in August.
Sundowns are home to another Zimbabwean international Khama Billiat, who has continued to mature with age and is getting a lot of game time.
Malajila, formerly of Chapungu, Highlanders and Dynamos, arrived at Chloorkop, from Maritzburg United after a stellar two seasons and reached his peak at Sundowns last season.
Malajila falls in the same bracket as Tendai Ndoro who had a high profile move from Mpumalanga Black Aces to giants Orlando Pirates but has since fizzled, largely to the form of Kermit Erasmus.
