THE Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries (CZI) says they are ready to work with newly appointed Industry and Commerce Minister, Mhlanganiso Ndlovu.
CZI president Sifelani Jabangwe told NewZimbabwe.Com Business that the appointment had come at the right time as the private sector is working towards taking the lead in the country’s industrialisation drive.
“We will soon arrange a meeting with him and take advantage of it to craft a work plan,” said Jabangwe.
“Already, we are impressed with the fact that he is young and that he brings a wealth of experience from the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board.”
Jabangwe noted that Ndlovu’s appointment positions the country for strategic industrial recovery.
Sketchy available details on Ndlovu’s profile show that he has served as Regional Manager at the National Indigenisation and Economic Empowerment Board. He is also former lecturer at Lupane State University.
The minister studied development finance at the University of Cape Town, National University of Science and Technology and the Midlands State University.
