DeMbare face DRC fight after home draw

ZIMBABWE champions Dynamos faces a tall order in Kinshasa this weekend after they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against AS Vita of the Democratic Republic of Congo at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
The hosts never really threatened in the first segment of the match and only came to life in the second half in which they created some chances which they however, failed to put away.
Washington Pakamisa leading the attack line in a 4-5-1 formation was wasteful in front of goal and it did not surprise as fans started whistling calling for his substitution mid-way through the first half.
The visitors looked comfortable on the ball and threatened to rip through their opponents when going forward especially in the final third.
Dynamos coach Kalisto Pasuwa then changed his formation in the second half to a 4-4-2. However, the much sought after goal remained stubbornly elusive as the away team remained resolute in defence in which they showed a lot of discipline.
Simba Sithole was introduced for Cliff Sekete as they tried to push forward for a goal and Ronald Chitiyo had a great chance to score but wasted the chance.
The lack of a real goal scorer for Dembare was their biggest Achilles heel and they also lacked inspiration from the bench.
Dynamos desperately poured players forward towards the end and with AS Vita employing time wasting tactics to frustrate the Zimbabwe champions.
The result means Pasuwa and his men will have to roll up their sleeves if they are to advance to the second round of Africa’s premier club competition.
