DYNAMOS set up an all too familiar Independence Cup final against FC Platinum after overcoming a battling ZPC Kariba 2-0 in a semi-final clash at Rufaro on Wednesday.
The two goals came from unlikely sources, defenders Blessing Moyo and Obey Mwerahari.
Moyo scored from the spot in the first half on 25 minutes before Mwerahari sealed victory with a header five minutes from the end from a cross by Godknows Murwira.
In the other semi-final clash FC Platinum saw off Caps United 6-5 on penalties to go through to the final against Dynamos.
The two teams met in the final last year with FC Platinum triumphing 3-0 on penalties after they had remained tied 1-1 in regulation time.
On Saturday they meet again in a repeat of last year’s showdown.
However, the Dynamos faithful will be happy to finally break the jinx against ZPC Kariba.
