DYNAMOS have received a major boost ahead of the clash against Chapungu at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday after defender Sidney Linyama who had gone AWOL (Absent Without Official Leave) returned to training with the rest of the team.
Linyama had not been reporting for training for one week a development which had drawn the ire of head coach Kalisto Pasuwa.
The Dynamos coach had been expecting Linyama to be at training with the team when he went to Egypt for a Caf technical conference to review the 2014 World Cup staged in Brazil. But he has not been coming for training and was reportedly participating in social games.
Dynamos team manager Richard Chihoro said: “Linyama is now back at training. He started training last week. He has been attending training sessions with the rest of the players since last week.
Dynamos who were booted out of the Chibuku Super Cup by lowly Black Rhinos in the first round have been inactive in the past week as the league programme had been suspended to give way to the $500k Chibuku Super Cup semi-finals with four teams Highlanders, Harare City, FC Platinum and Black Rhinos fighting for the right to play in the final.
Harare City managed to overcome Highlanders 3-0 on Sunday to reach the final with FC Platinum having kicked out Black Rhinos 1-0 in the first semi-final clash on Saturday.
Now the log leaders face Chapungu hoping to maintain their grip on the league title.
Dynamos lead the standings with 49 points, two ahead of second-placed ZPC Kariba who face FC Platinum on Saturday in one of the high profile fixtures this weekend.
Caps United who travel to Triangle are in third place with 45 points while Highlanders who host Chicken Inn are in fourth place with 39 points.
Chapungu who are still battling relegation in 12th place with 29 points are aware a victory over DeMbare can lift them from the relegation zone.
